Vehicles in German Town Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Authorities reported they were contacted by a resident who discovered a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored liquid

Approximately 50 cars have been smeared with what appears to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to police.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were defaced, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.

Police report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.

The liquid had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Police then found multiple other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws prohibiting the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement state initial examinations suggest the substance was likely blood from a person.

"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; officials are not yet informed of any physical harm in association with the event," they added.

Municipal representatives stated they were trying "to resolve the incident" and have asked to the community for tips.

A high-ranking official stated the vandalism left him speechless and required to be resolved quickly.

"This incident strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist violent incident five years ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the killing of nine victims by a assailant aiming at individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
