Earick Rejects Tottenham Hotspur Buyout Proposal Following Expression of Interest

The long-serving executive directed Tottenham's transition to the club's new home in the year 2019.

Innovative business leader Earick has dismissed making a formal takeover bid for Tottenham.

The club had earlier “unequivocally rejected” an unofficial approach from a consortium led by Brooklyn Earick last period and stated the organization was off the market.

However British acquisition regulations dictated that, having had an initial approach declined, Earick's consortium had to submit a bid by the October deadline or declare they would not proceed.

Official word of the decision was issued in a statement made by the club to the financial markets, confirming the club is “no longer in an acquisition window.”

He posted an picture of the statement on social media, adding: “It was a pleasure engaging with Tottenham Hotspur and the Lewis family's agents over the past few weeks.

“I hold deep admiration for the team, its executives, and its supporters, and desire continued achievements.”

Spurs' leadership thanked the consortium for its “constructive approach” in talks and for “respecting the clear position” of the shareholders that the club is off the market.

The entrepreneur is a ex-disc jockey who also worked in aerospace studies for the space agency before establishing his technology firm, which focuses on technology, communications, athletics and leisure.

The informal offer was the latest inquiry turned down by the team's directors since the unexpected exit of executive chairman Levy in September.

In early fall, the organization rejected offers from previous club stakeholder Staveley's the investment firm and a group spearheaded by Roger Kennedy and Ng through Firehawk Holdings.

The former chairman and his family own about thirty percent of the parent company – which has an nearly 87 percent shareholding in Tottenham.

He was the the league's top-tenured leader and is reported to have received in excess of fifty million pounds during his almost quarter of a century in the role.

However he was also the target of regular protests by the club's followers, particularly last season as Premier League performances were unsatisfactory.

Tottenham claimed their first trophy in seventeen years when they overcame United in the May Europa League final.
